Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this 2nd Shift Machine Operator position that is fully onsite in North Kingstown, RI, with a contract duration of 6 month +.  
 
Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:55pm - 10:55pm

The Machine Operator will operate various card production equipment to personalize debit/credit cards according to customers' specifications. Work with other operators, technicians, and supervisory staff to achieve daily / monthly goals. Perform minor equipment maintenance and adjustments per written and oral instructions. Work independently, performing quality inspections on own work according to production standards. Identify potential production and quality problems, recommending remedial, corrective or contingency action. Awareness and compliance with all security and production policies & procedures.

Requirements: 
 
Minimum Requirements:
 
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills required
  • Good communication skills in both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive - but able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years' experience in mechanical ability
  • 1-3 years' experience in safety rules and maintenance instructions
  • Intermediate computer skills.
