Job description

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator II (2nd Shift) - Presses at our Reno, NV facility! The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 + .50 shift differential per hour.
CORE HOURS: 2:30PM - 11PM (Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.)

What you'll do:
• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.
• Troubleshoot various machinery problems.
• Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
• Quality control and document all parts run on machines.
• Retrieve and enter data into SAP.
• Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production.
• Maintain a clean work area and tend to other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience with forming or bending machines.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
  • Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Position Success Criteria:
• Ability to operate machinery and presses safely.
• Ability to read, accurately interpret, and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.
• Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material
• Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers
• Ability to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision.
