Job description

Utility, responsible for maintaining the correct amount of support materials for jobs currently, running on each machine or secondary. Set up auxiliary equipment, and support shift champions and leads as needed in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy customer requirements.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Prepare auxiliary equipment for use in molding operations for job set up.
  • Provide an adequate supply of materials and monitor material use during operations to ensure uninterrupted production and scan all supports material to the correct location for every move.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and year-end inventory audits.
  • Assume duties of machine operator and provide relief for breaks and lunches.
  • Remove finished goods from press area to warehouse, completing required scanning for every transaction.
  • Ensure all finished goods are moved to the warehouse once they have been approved by Quality Control
  • Ensure finished goods are properly palletized on the correct pallet and scanned to the pallet before moving to the warehouse.
  • After each job is complete, remove and clean up support materials, equipment, etc. (line clearance process.)
  • Clean up around auxiliary equipment during the shift.
  • May assist Shipping and Receiving department when approved by Supervisor.
  • Operate molding automatic molding machines and other machines when necessary.
  • Provide physical counts on materials as necessary.
  • Verify accuracy on all work orders.
  • Participate in daily shift change activities including walking around to each press.
  • Maintain scrap cardboard gaylord and dispose of when full.
  • Notify Production control of any low inventory levels.
  • Responsible for following all policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be proficient using a pallet Jack, and hand scanners.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the production floor.
  • Organization of support materials at each press, and auxiliary equipment storage areas.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Must be able to use a calculator
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
  • Extended hours of standing and walking; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move over 50 pounds
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing environment with associated noises, smells and temperatures
  • Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Noise level is moderate
