Job Overview
Ready to grow your career with a supportive team? Marvin is hiring a Machine Technician to assist with machine setup and troubleshooting. You'll help develop and test solutions for machining problems related to safety, set ups, quality control, and run speeds. You'll also perform general maintenance of designated machinery.
You'll succeed if you can independently perform daily tasks and responsibilities while training and supporting operators, while promoting safety, quality, efficiency, and teamwork. If you're looking for a supportive team and opportunities to grow a career, we invite you to apply today.
Highlights of your role
  • Operate woodworking equipment to produce quality wood products
  • Assist engineers and production leadership with creating, modifying, and testing to ensure machines run smoothly with capable processes
  • Train and support operators on machine operation, preparation, setup, and basic maintenance
  • Identify ways to improve set up times, reduce costs, improve processes, and grow profitability
  • Promote a culture of safety by maintaining a clean and safe work environment, encouraging operators to do the same
  • Develop and implement tooling configurations to improve manufacturing effectiveness

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of machine operation and mechanical experience in a manufacturing facility

Also want to make sure you have
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for 10 hours per day
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Mechanical training or certifications preferred
