Concrete Finisher

Job Duties Include:

  • Smooth out the concrete in segments to ensure the concrete poured is level.
  • Operates a hand magic screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Fill roadways, driveways, sidewalks, bridges, homes, and parking lots.
  • Install the concrete forms.
  • Properly rake concrete
  • Hand screed, mag and hand steel edges.
  • Level it using special blades, making sure all lumps and bubbles are smoothed over.
  • Use wood or plastic forms to shape the concrete and hold it until it is set.
  • Smooth high spots and fill depressions.
  • Pour concrete, SOG, e paving, sidewalks and tilt panels
  • Clean away excess concrete exterior paving
  • Hand finish edges/ clean outs/ drains ect.
  • Operate walk behind trowel to properly bring floor to final finish.
  • Operate a ride on pan machine.
  • Operate a ride on combo machine to bring to final finish.
  • Use machines that vibrate concrete to fill air pockets and fill voids around dowels.
  • Use groovers and hand trowels to spread concrete.
  • Use and move pump system.
  • Operates a Soff cut saw.
  • Use chemical additives to speed up drying process if necessary.
  • Finish floors with color hardeners.
  • Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel, long handled or powered float.
  • Cut joints/grooves in concrete with edging soff cut saw to help control cracking.
  • Apply hardening and sealing/curing components cure surfaces.
  • Operate the Line Dragon.
  • Pervious Paving.
  • Place and finish Super Flat Floors.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Must be able to move materials and equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, ladder and stair climbing; occasional crawling and twisting
  • Follow instructions diligently from foreman/superintendent
  • Adhere to safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Ability to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities)
  • Valid driver's license (a valid license is a plus and could positively impact pay)
