Job description

Hanes Companies is looking for a Plant Associate to join our team. This position works on the warehouse floor, processing orders, operating machines, and forklift driving. He/she will work to process customers' orders in a timely and efficient manner.
The ideal candidate has experience working in an environment that can be cold and hot during different seasons. This person will need to be able to work safely and quickly, standing for long periods while fulfilling orders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Able to inspect/operate cloth and machinery.
  • Must have cooperative attitude necessary to work effectively with others.
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Must be able to follow verbal & written work instructions.
  • Be Safety Conscious.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
The primary duties of the employee are (but are not limited to) the following: All employees have the responsibility to bring forth suggestions and participate in continuous improvement process and verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Conform to all quality/safety/environmental requirements and procedures.
  • Read and follow instructions on converting orders.
  • Perform routine operations on machine (load, set-up, doff) - make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
  • Production reporting to be neat and accurate.
  • Ability to lift 75 - 100 pounds.
  • Climb ladder to lace machine
  • Operate sewing machine
  • Measure and cut fabric
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Supervisor.
