Job description

Industrial Mechanic

About the Position

We are looking for a dependable and mechanically skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our manufacturing team in Nashville, GA. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, adjustments, and repairs on mechanical manufacturing machinery and equipment to help keep production running safely and efficiently.

Candidates with direct industrial maintenance experience are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive priority consideration. We also encourage experienced automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or similar mechanical technicians to apply. If you have strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to troubleshoot equipment, and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect machinery and identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Replace bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, pulleys, and other mechanical components as needed.
  • Assist with equipment installations, rebuilds, adjustments, and general repairs.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
  • Respond to equipment issues and help minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintenance schedules.
  • Work with the production and maintenance teams to keep equipment operating efficiently.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Some form of mechanical knowledge or hands-on mechanical experience is required for consideration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and understand basic mechanical systems.
  • Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn manufacturing equipment and maintenance procedures.

Highly Preferred:

  • Direct industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Automotive mechanic experience.
  • Diesel mechanic experience.
  • Heavy equipment mechanic experience.
  • Experience working with conveyors, motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, or similar mechanical equipment.
  • Welding, fabrication, or electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.
