About the Role
As a Rottler Machine Operator / Engine Shop Machinist at Prime Machine Inc., you'll be a key contributor in our engine department, specializing in precision engine block and component machining. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Operating and setting up Rottler CNC machining equipment for engine rebuilding and repair
  • Performing precision boring, surfacing, and machining of engine components
  • Interpreting blueprints, specifications, and work order routers
  • Collaborating with the Area Manager and team to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Documenting job progress and maintaining accurate production records
  • Inspecting finished components to ensure compliance with tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Continuously improving your machining skills using advanced tools and software

What We're Looking For
  • Experience operating Rottler or similar engine machining equipment (preferred)
  • CNC machining experience (strong plus)
  • Familiarity with Mastercam or other CAD/CAM software (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, machining symbols, and GD&T inspection practices
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of engine components and systems
  • Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • High school diploma or GED required
