POSITION TYPE: Seasonal - Part Time Position
WAGE RANGE: $14 hourly plus tips
SUPERVISORY: NO SUPERVISED BY: Sky House FOH Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: WORK ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN! To provide the highest quality of service to guests in accordance with company policies and objectives, to strive toward guest satisfaction, positive employee relations, and profitability by performing the following duties. The host is the first and last contact the guest has with our lodge; therefore, how you represent the Sky House goes a long was in determining whether the guest will become a regular. Host/busser’s are required to possess professionalism, a friendly and welcoming demeanor, and an efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Professionally and calmly maintain steady, even flow of seating. Responsible to greet all guests and respond appropriately to requests and special needs. Give guests approximate wait they may experience and offer them a beverage. Seat guests with consideration guest preference, servers’ workload, and seating capacity. Hand out menus to guest and bring booster seats or highchair for young guests. Quickly inform servers of where guests have been seated and relay any special requests. Thank guests for dining upon leaving and invite them to return. Perform other tasks to assist in the smooth operation of the restaurant to assure guest satisfaction. Will clean and reset tables. Help servers with side work. Serve guests water and refill soda. Must be available weekends. The typical shift is 11am-5pm.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing and walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Will get breaks as available. Required to lift up to 50lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is inside and outside. All sensory skills needed.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and are not limited to these items.
