We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Extrusion Machine Operator to join our team at our PVC facility in Pineville, NC. This role reports to the Production Supervisor and is ideal for individuals who are safety-focused, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay & Schedule:

  • Pay Rate: $25.89 an hour + a 7% Shift Premium

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts (4 days on, 4 days off), 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

  • Bi-weekly pay

Job Summary:

We're seeking energetic individuals with a keen eye for detail and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement while operating extrusion equipment used to produce PVC pipe. This position plays an important role in helping the plant achieve its safety, quality, production, and efficiency goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate extrusion equipment and production lines used to manufacture PVC pipe.

  • Perform quality inspections using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.

  • Notify Supervisors and Lead Hands of quality concerns, equipment issues, or unusual operating conditions.

  • Package finished pipe products according to specifications and document production accurately.

  • Identify, transfer, and load production materials as required.

  • Use hand tools safely and effectively.

  • Identify, remove, and report scrap material in accordance with work instructions.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Inspect and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.

  • Support Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) initiatives and plant safety programs.

  • Assist with the operation of auxiliary equipment, including material loaders, vacuum systems, regrind loaders, and feeders.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.

  • Knowledge of measurement systems and measuring devices.

  • Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

  • Plastics manufacturing experience considered an asset.

  • Forklift experience preferred.

  • Experience using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Team-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality.

Working Conditions:
