Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Shift - Days 7am - 3.30 pm

Wage - up to 26/hr.

Location - Leduc

Job Description

The role involves performing QA/QC on downtools, verifying drawings using calipers and micrometers, and documenting the process on a computer.

The technician will also assist in disassembling, repairing, maintaining, washing, buffing, painting, and reassembling downhole tools, specifically mud motors.

The position requires hands-on work with basic hand and power tools and may involve operating an overhead crane once trained.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC checks on downtools using calipers and micrometers.
• Verify drawings and document processes using a computer.
• Use basic hand and power tools, heating torch, hand grinder, stamper, etc.
• Operate overhead crane upon receiving training.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of experience in oil and gas shop or machine shop.
• QA/QC shop experience.
• Ability to read drawings.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Basic mathematical skills with the ability to learn formulas and calculations.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• GED or High School Diploma.

Work Environment

The work environment is a shop setting with a diverse team. Shop is clean.

The position involves light physical demands and offers lots of overtime
