***This position is located at our Fort Saskatchewan office ***

Key Information:

  • Hours: 40-hour work week, with overtime as required during peak periods.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Hourly rate dependent on experience.

Job Description:

  • Operate Survey GPS/Total Station equipment (TOPCON/TRIMBLE) on civil/heavy industrial jobsites.
  • Set up and troubleshoot GPS Machine Control Systems.
  • Perform surveys to determine volume quantities for progress billing and performing as built surveys.
  • Calculate given elevations/measurements from drawings and perform layout, of the following but not limited to:
    • Roadwork, Earthwork, Concrete, and Underground Services
  • Train and support field staff.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

  • Geomatics/Survey Technology Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of survey experience in construction layout services, topographic surveys, control surveys, and as built surveys on heavy civil/industrial jobsites required.
  • Previous surveying experience using AutoCAD programs, TBC, and Civil 3D required.
  • Proficient with RTK GPS, Machine Control, and Robotic Total Station equipment.
  • RPAS Advanced Pilot Certificate considered an asset.
  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license required.
  • Reliable means of transportation required.
  • Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Geomatics/Survey Technology Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent.
