Job description

Flair Flexible Packaging is a growing manufacturer of innovative multi-layer flexible packaging solutions. We service customers throughout the world from our operations in Canada, United States, Korea and Mexico.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our team.
Job Summary: The position will efficiently follow labeling and packaging requirements established by the customer by setting up, completing change overs, running and following proper shut down procedures of the flexible packaging machine. They will safely produce high-quality bags while producing minimal waste in an efficient manner while maximizing run speeds. The position of the Assembler involves assembling & packing products, inspecting material and products per company quality system procedure, recording production data and performing regular maintenance of equipment and job site.
Essential Duties:
• Technically understand and manipulate various control panels and instrumentation data to ensure that machinery is performing accurately.
• Stack film to customer requirements.
• Reduce waste and scrap levels of machinery by maintaining appropriate settings.
• Perform the appropriate quality checks to ensure finished products meets customer needs.
• Handle all material, finished products and packing material within the production site to ensure proper assembling and packing requirements.
• Ability to operate the equipment and adjust settings as needed.
• Assist Shift leader and/or maintenance personnel for equipment repair and troubleshooting as may be assigned.
• Keep records of production data.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment, tools and production environment.
• Report immediately to the supervisor any changes or unusual results on product or equipment.
• Must understand safety precautions and follow the safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma and manufacturing experience preferred. 
Read, write and speak fluent English is beneficial
