What You'll Do
  • Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in a civil construction environment.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and complete pre-trip and post-trip documentation.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and identify mechanical concerns.
  • Read grades, stakes, plans, and site instructions.
  • Work closely with Foremen, Gradepersons, Labourers, and Project Teams.
  • Maintain production while ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional team environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience operating excavators and/or skid steers in civil construction.
  • Strong understanding of grading, earthworks, and site development activities.
  • Ability to work safely around crews, utilities, and underground infrastructure.
  • Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and jobsite safety.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically perform duties related to the position.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License & reliable vehicle required.
  • Experience with GPS machine control systems is considered an asset.
Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful candidates may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test as a condition of employment.
