Job description

Competitive Range partners with the government to plan and deploy complex, IT-enabled, and mission-essential capabilities. Our goal is to help you develop and expand your professional capabilities while working on challenging, exciting projects in a collaborative, congenial environment.

Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented and experienced MAC Lead to assist in directing and managing the program's executive support group. The candidate must reference their ability and experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team.

The experienced MAC lead will oversee equipment activations/deactivations, installations, relocations, and upgrades, ensuring seamless operations and minimal service disruption. This role involves developing and maintaining a team dedicated to executing MACs within DoD.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a proficient team capable of executing up to 20 WAOs, including necessary ports and equipment configurations.
  • Manage simple to complex MAC tasks within the DoD accreditation boundary, including hardware moves, port activations/deactivations, VLAN extensions, and VPN configurations.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and user agreements for Home Kits, Flyaway Kits, and JSP-managed Travel Kits, maintaining alignment with the correct scope of actions.
  • Collaborate with the COR or ACOR to approve technical solutions and cost estimates for MAC actions.
  • Follow change management process to track and execute MACs via service request tickets, covering installations, activations, modifications, upgrades, or deactivations to meet voice, video, and data requirements.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring problems and provide insights in the Monthly MAC Report.
  • Track MAC requests and make the tracking system accessible to customers and government oversight, ensuring transparency and progress monitoring.
  • Coordinate and manage all change requests (CRQs) for additions, removals, and modifications, ensuring compliance with established change and configuration management policies.
  • Prepare monthly summary reports detailing the Moves, Adds, and Changes performed, including location, timeline, and status.
  • Address customer requests that are out of scope, such as new project Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) requests.
  • Provide additional efforts for Voice MACs, including line provisioning, phone deployment, and migration from TDM to VoIP services as required.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including VLANs, VPNs, VoIP, and traditional voice services.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (required)
  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer Certification (required)
