Role Overview
The Professional Services Engineer is responsible for executing and delivering complex IT modernization projects based on solution designs developed by the Systems Architect. This role serves as the primary technical implementation lead, ensuring projects are deployed accurately, securely, and in alignment with architectural standards.
Apex primarily utilizes Dell, SonicWall, Ubiquiti and Cisco hardware across client infrastructure environments. Candidates must demonstrate proven proficiency and hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting solutions built on these platforms.
This is a senior, client-facing role requiring deep hands-on technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to independently execute complex infrastructure projects in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Primary Responsibilities
The Professional Services Engineer is responsible for the following activities in support of successful project delivery and client engagement:
  • Lead technical execution from project kickoff through completion
  • Deliver implementations within defined scope, timeline, and quality standards
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate technical risks during deployment
  • Maintain alignment with approved architectural designs and internal standards
  • Provide technical leadership during project execution
  • Validate performance, resiliency, and operational readiness prior to project closure
