Department:Building MaintenanceOverall Purpose of the Position:
Works with Building Maintenance Supervisor and Administrator to maintain cleanliness of MMG facilities.
Major Job Responsibilities:Percentage:1. Restrooms-cleans, polishes, and sanitizes toilets and basins. Empties waste baskets and cleans as necessary. Cleans and polishes mirrors and chrome of basin faucet, drains and other wall objects. Refills soap and hand towel dispensers. Disinfect door handles and walls. Sweeps and mops all restroom floors.35%2. Exam waiting rooms and hallways-cleans and disinfects surfaces, furniture, fixtures, glass, door frames and handles, polishes stainless in and outside of elevators. Along with door kick plates.25%3. Lobbies-polishes brass handrails in lobby, wipes down all outside handrails and all stairwell handrails.15%4. Cleans, sanitize and disinfects clinic spills and emergencies.10%5. Vacuum and clean elevator tracks and sliding door tracks.5%6. Notifies supervisor of any and all repairs. All other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.5%7. Demonstrates quality work, completes assignments on a timely basis, and makes decisions within limits of authority. Takes initiative in problem solving, maintains confidentiality of patient and company information, and interacts with patients, co-workers, and management in a courteous and respectful manner. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.2.5% 8. Maintains attendance standards consistent with company policy.2.5%
Minimum Qualifications:Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills/Knowledge:
Possess working knowledge of janitorial and maintenance terminology. Follows chemical procedures. Must be able to mix hazardous chemicals.
Must have courteous and professional. Demonstrates the willingness to learn new things and maintain a positive attitude.
Equipment Use:
Vacuum, ladder, cleaning supplies, chemicals able to lift 50lbs.
Characteristics:
Must be willing to effectively participate as a team member with the entire Maui Medical Group Staff. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner. Must have access to a vehicle to travel to other MMG clinics and to pick up supplies.
Environmental Factors:
Requires bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate construction and maintenance related equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Hourly Rate:
Starting @ $18.80; based on experience
