The Opportunity
Ethica Pharmacy Advisors offers a unique and innovative opportunity for those individuals looking to blend their pharmaceutical interest with business consulting. Our Pharmacy Consulting Internship has the capacity to launch your long-term pharmacy career in a fast-paced and dynamic segment of the healthcare arena. Our internship will expose individuals with a focus on medicine or pharmacy to learn how employers make decisions and contract regarding benefit placement, formulary coverage, and clinical rules. In addition, the program provides insight into a stable and thriving industry while you build relationships with other interns, professionals, pharmacists, and leaders.
How You Will Make an Impact
  • Work side-by-side with consultants who specialize in pharmacy benefit consulting
  • Research and learn the top medication drivers in the US that impact employers
  • Use a variety of analytic tools to develop reports, dashboards, and complex data analysis
  • Learn the complexities of PBM contracting and negotiations that drive savings for Plan Sponsors
  • Become exposed to the variety of PBM vendors, and their differentiators, managing Rx benefits in the market today
  • Be a key participant on projects that align with your interests and directly impact an employer's bottom line
  • Collaborate with other interns and professionals to achieve the best outcome
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Pre-medicine or Pre-pharmacy curriculum is highly encouraged
  • Actively enrolled Pharmacy Students (incoming PharmD P2 or P3 classes) are preferred
  • Demonstrated success in college efforts through academics and/or involvement in activities.
  • Experience working PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong project management skillset
