Overview

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Group Sales Manager to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.

The Group Sales Manager is responsible for developing and nurturing group client relationships and managing the group sales process for prospective bookings that maximize revenue in alignment with established sales policies and strong business acumen.    


Responsibilities
  • Responsible for establishing and building relationships as it relates to group rooms segment with corporate, association, social, and sports and entertainment-related accounts. May be asked to also assist with transient reservations from key agencies and accounts that regularly book group business. 
  • Negotiate, prepare and execute contracts in accordance with sales policies and guidelines
  • Lead and implement a strategic and comprehensive SMART Plan to achieve group and individual revenue goals for a luxury hotel product
  • Understand the overall market – including competitive set strengths and weaknesses, industry trends, and how to sell our hotel as the premium venue for group meetings and events.
  • Produce quotes and written proposals to all clients in a timely fashion and with a high level of detail.
  • Create long-term loyalty through total account management rather than transaction-oriented selling.
  • Effectively organize and participate in client entertainment/FAM’s, special promotions, tours, site inspections, presentations, and occasional travel to industry or client events

Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years of luxury hotel sales experience. Forbes experience preferred.
  • Four-year college diploma preferred or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communications skills. Must be Knowledgeable of Microsoft office including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is vital, exposure /ability with Delphi and other hotel related databases and tools preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including working extended hours.
