Join the Luxe Team as a Banquet Setup House Attendant!
The Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel is a AAA Four Diamond hotel, proudly standing as the only property of its kind in our competitive set and in the prestigious areas of Brentwood and Bel-Air. Our stunning 160-room boutique hotel offers guests distinguished service and timeless luxury, making us a sought-after destination in the heart of Los Angeles.
Department: Banquets
Accountable To: Director of Special Events
Status: Non-Exempt
Estimate Pay Range: $22.50 Hrly
Primary Objective:
Contribute to customer satisfaction by setting up and breaking down banquet events. Cleans carpet, event space, walls on a daily basis and other.
Areas of Accountability:
Complete final breakdown of function, by cleaning the room, and cleaning and returning equipment to its proper location. Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, locking doors, breaking down goods, etc. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Transport dirty linen to correct area to be cleaned, separate napkins from tablecloths, and restock linen shelves with clean linens. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures. Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Meets and exceeds customer and colleagues expectations by providing excellent service and teamwork.
    • Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.
    • Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
    • Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed
    • Handles difficult situations effectively.
  • Sets up function rooms according to event orders and directions from supervisor.
    • Maintains general upkeep of function rooms and related public areas.
    • Ensures that floors, walls, and equipment are clean in function rooms.
    • Removes debris from public areas.
    • Stores all banquet furniture and equipment following conclusion of banquet.
  • Maintains properly all Banquet Department equipment, storage and work areas.
    • Reports any equipment in need of repair or replacement to supervisor or Engineering Department in a timely manner.
  • Provides safe environment for customers by recognizing any possible hazards and intervening accordingly.
    • Understands department fire procedures, keeps fire exits and lanes free from equipment and debris.
  • Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters of significance.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
    • Attends work as scheduled.
    • Follows hotelโ€™s dress and grooming standards.
    • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
  • At all times, projects a favorable image of Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel to the public.
