Job Title: Foster Care Program Manager
Location:ย Wellspringย Gaylord
Service Area:ย Otsego, Crawford, Cheboygan and Alpena counties.ย 
Reports to:ย Foster Care Director

ย 
Wellspring Lutheran Services is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking aย Foster Care Program Managerย to join our foster care team in Gaylord.ย 
Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision, professional leadership and professional development opportunitiesย to supervisors and other program personnel as assigned.
  • Be attentive to industry, legislative, professional, academic, social, and regulatory issues in the service area in order to identify trends and apply knowledge to advance best practices.
  • Proactively manage finances resulting in balanced or positive financial outcomes, and actively engages supervisors in financial oversight.
  • Assure compliance with contract, licensing and accreditation standards; Develop andย implement corrective action plans as required; complete case reviews quarterly.
  • Provide staff and program coverage in the absence of a supervisor.
  • Direct and coordinate personnel processes including staff recruitment, interview process and hiring. Assist supervisors with performance evaluations and staff performance improvement plans.
  • Assure agency policies and procedures are being uniformly implemented in all units.
  • Participate in and/or provide leadership to CQI service team, and other agency
    workgroups (e.g. accreditation, risk management, morale, and training).
  • Assure that program service manuals and procedures are regularly reviewed and revised.
  • Assist in the development of new programs and renewal of existing programs which mayย include research, proposal writing and grant writing.
  • Represent Wellspring Lutheran Services--Child & Family Division in various community networks, performing public relations duties and communicating the mission
Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in social work or related human services field and 3 years of child welfare and supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in social work or related human services field and 4 years of child welfare and supervisory experience (required)
  • Reliable, responsible and committed to compassionate and high-quality work
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to support and guide staff in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Schedule and Compensation
  • Employment Type:ย Full-Time, 40 hours per week
  • Schedule:ย Monday - Friday
  • Salary Range: $72,000 / year, based on experience, education and licensure
  • On-Call: On-going for team and program support / supervision
  • Hybrid:ย Community travel to support staff in work - milage reimbursed
  • On-site:ย Office based
