The Manager, Indirect Strategic Sourcing is responsible for executing the company's sourcing strategy and category management practices located in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This role partners with Finance (FP&A), Legal, and business stakeholders to identify cost optimization opportunities, maximize value, and minimize risk.
Key Responsibilities:
ย  ย Execute sourcing strategies aligned with business needs and financial/operational objectives.
ย  ย Manage key vendor relationships to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
ย  ย Ensure compliance with sourcing policies; track and report exceptions.
ย  ย Drive high-quality outcomes and identify process improvement opportunities.
ย  ย Support sourcing leadership in achieving 10-15% annual savings targets.
ย  ย Lead and support high-value sourcing initiatives, including contract negotiations.
ย  ย Collaborate with business leaders to align on sourcing strategy and gain stakeholder buy-in.
ย  ย Develop and track KPIs to measure sourcing performance and outcomes.
ย  ย Provide regular reporting on sourcing initiatives, risks, and progress to leadership.
ย  ย Deliver training on sourcing policies, processes, and best practices.
ย  ย Maintain regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, third-party risk management).
ย  ย Apply best practices, including spend analysis, RFx execution, contract management, and preferred supplier programs.
ย  ย Lead sourcing projects, including RFx development, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
ย  ย Establish operational metrics to monitor performance and drive improvement.
ย  ย Ensure sourcing projects have clear financial and operational goals aligned with stakeholders.
ย  ย Partner with Business Owners, Legal, and FP&A to meet project timelines.
ย  ย Support supplier diversity, development, and performance initiatives.
ย  ย Apply knowledge of compliance areas such as patient services, IT, HIPAA, and adverse events.

Qualification and Experience

Minimum Requirements:
ย  ย Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Management, or related field.
ย  ย 5+ years of indirect procurement experience in pharmaceutical/biopharma industry.
ย  ย Experience managing sourcing projects and financial KPIs.
ย  ย Strong understanding of pharmaceutical development and commercialization.
Required Experience (5+ years each):
ย  ย Developing indirect procurement strategies
ย  ย Spend analysis and procurement execution
ย  ย Managing RFIs/RFPs
ย  ย Demand management, outsourcing/insourcing programs
ย  ย Contract negotiation within pharmaceutical sourcing
Travel: ~10%

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position in New Jersey is $100,000 to $115,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus (based upon eligibility).
