Position Overview
Are you an early-career engineer looking to build a strong foundation in validation and automated systems? KPI Solutions is looking for a Validation Engineer I to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with senior validation engineers and cross-functional project teams to support the qualification and testing of complex automation systems for our clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, curious engineer who wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced, project-driven environment - and who is eager to grow their career in systems validation, controls, and supply chain automation.
What You'll Do
Validation Execution & Testing
  • Execute Static IQ, Dynamic IQ, and Operational Qualification (OQ) test steps under the guidance of senior validation staff
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols across project phases
  • Support installation phase activities including hands-on participation in equipment and system qualification

Documentation & Evidence Management
  • Collect, organize, and maintain validation evidence, test logs, and supporting data with a high degree of accuracy
  • Assist in documentation updates to ensure records are complete, traceable, and audit-ready
  • Learn and consistently apply departmental standards, validation templates, and industry best practices

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in deviation investigations, helping to identify root causes and support follow-up corrective actions
  • Contribute to a culture of quality by flagging discrepancies, asking questions, and continuously improving your understanding of validation processes
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to support overall project readiness and milestone delivery

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of professional experience; internship or co-op experience in a regulated, technical, or automated systems environment strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and testing
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow within a structured validation framework
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship or co-op experience in warehouse automation, manufacturing, controls, or a related automated systems environment
  • Basic familiarity with validation terminology and concepts such as IQ, OQ, and PQ
  • Strong technical writing ability with experience producing clear, organized documentation
  • Exposure to automation platforms, controls systems, or software integration testing is a plus
