What is a Lume job?

A Lume job typically refers to a position at Lume Cannabis, a company in the cannabis industry specializing in cultivation, retail, and distribution. Roles at Lume vary from budtenders and retail associates to cultivation and corporate positions. Employees may be responsible for customer service, product knowledge, compliance with regulations, or operational tasks. Job requirements and responsibilities depend on the specific role.

Staying updated on the latest lighting technologies and energy efficiency requirements is also important for long-term success in this role.

Job description

About Mammoth Brands
Mammoth Brands (formerly Harry's Inc.) is the modern CPG company behind brands Harry's, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. We're building a new model-and home-brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples' lives, and ultimately challenge the status quo. Our mission is to "Create Things People Like More." Simply put: everything we do should be better than what already exists. If it's not, we don't do it. This guides everything we do, from developing the best product experiences, to making Mammoth Brands a great place to work, to exploring innovative ways to give back to our community.
We got our start in 2013 when our co-founders created Harry's. They built the brand differently-online first, prioritizing direct relationships with customers-and in the process learned they'd created something bigger: a playbook and platform that could help other brands grow and scale to their full potential, and a vision to reimagine consumer packaged goods. Today, Mammoth Brands is a growing portfolio of brands and the largest CPG company built in the last 20 years. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: to create a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. As a company, we're also committed to making a positive impact and have donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date.
The Senior Manager of Sales is an important role, leading our Target partnership across both the Lume, Mando, and Harry's Deodorant and body wash businesses. This position has a direct impact on the company's future growth. Through strategic business development and superior execution, we expect to significantly broaden our awareness, customer acquisition, and repeat for the overall business (both online and in-stores).
We need an amazing business development leader who understands retailer needs and requirements, while translating and executing Mammoth Care vision. They must balance the vital role Target plays in our Retailer Partnership portfolio and have the ability to influence Mammoth Care brand teams to deliver transformative support/solutions that enable discovery & drive delight for our products with the Guest.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Target, this role helps develop comprehensive business plans and works with a team of analysts, forecast and replenishment managers, and brand marketing partners. Because this role works across nearly all Mammoth Care functions, we need a team player who can collaborate cross-functionally, develop and drive strategies, and effectively communicate across teams to meet and exceed expectations. Success also requires strong organizational skills, analytical capabilities, sales fundamental expertise and a continuous improvement mindset.
Our team should become relied upon by Target's merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams as "thought leaders" who deeply understand the Target guest, know how to orchestrate the shopping experience, have a mentality toward productivity + profitability, and demonstrate how our brands contribute uniquely and drive growth.
About the team
Our retail team is a uniquely energized group of sales professionals which challenge the status quo to win at shelf across every major retailer. What makes our culture special is the way we show up for each other across time zones, brand lines, and competitive landscapes, sharing wins, swapping playbooks, and pushing one another to find the next big opportunity before anyone else does. We are brand builders at heart, driving retail distribution, shelf presence, and incremental growth for brands that are genuinely disrupting categories. If you're someone who thrives in a high-growth, collaborative environment, this is exactly the kind of team culture you've been looking for.
What you will accomplish
  • Lead business development activity managing our body and deodorant businesses at Target, to include sales analytics, forecasting needs, project management and strategic execution.
  • Develop and execute Annual Business Planning for Target that delivers on revenue and profit goals and works across company channel strategy.
  • Develop into a "storyteller" - interpret the data and create compelling, data-driven presentations based on data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Build top-performing relationships with our partners at Target to drive optimized outcomes for Mammoth Care. This includes fostering relationships and driving sales fundamental plans with the merchant team and facilitating account penetration for marketing, supply chain and store operations connections.
  • Manage brand P&L for Target, including VCI funding (trade spending).
  • Define and lead the necessary business questions and support from data analytics and shopper/consumer insights, to position Mammoth Care as the thought leader in the product categories in which we compete.

This should describe you
  • A proven sales leader with national retail or mass channel experience (Target experience preferred)
  • Should have at least 5+ years of CPG sales experience (personal care experience preferred)
  • Strong relationship builder who isn't afraid to bring bold ideas to the table
  • Someone who has successfully grown a challenger or underdog brand - and can speak to *how* they did it
  • A strategic thinker who is also hands-on and execution-oriented
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving results
  • Professional, enthusiastic, solid team player with a passion for winning and driving results
  • A leader with a demonstrated track-record for exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit, strong sales fundamental capabilities and success in delivering top results
  • You are a learner - always seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you
  • Partner first, someone who models collaborative behavior, brings people in, listens, and helps facilitate everyone to the best answer for the total team and business
  • Organized, dependable and self-motivated with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills AND you thrive on direct, honest, and supportive communication
  • Self-starting problem solver -- there's nothing more exciting than a new challenge; you'll be involved in many firsts and should have an innate desire to problem solve to achieve goals
  • Curiosity and passion for creating breakthrough omni-channel moments through coordinated in-store and online merchandising

Here's who you'll work with
  • Reporting to the Senior Director of Target Retail
  • Internally: Your primary contacts will include the Retail Sales Team, Go To Market Team, the Harry's, Lume, and Mando Brand Teams, Demand and Supply Planning, R&D, and Finance.
  • Externally: You will work closely with Target's Personal Care buying team members and cross-functional partners, including Marketing, Planning, Inventory, and In-store design You will be a primary point of contact for Mammoth Care.

  • 401k match
  • Equity in Mammoth Brands
  • Flexible time off and working hours
  • L&D stipend
  • 4 weeks sabbatical after 5 years, 6 weeks after 10 years, and 8 weeks after 15 years

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program.
