Job description

Job Details:Job Description:

As a Module Development Engineer, you will drive technology development and process enablement for both high-volume manufacturing and next-generation semiconductor technologies. You will be responsible for developing, integrating, optimizing, and sustaining advanced manufacturing processes that enable innovative device architectures while meeting performance, quality, and cost targets. This role requires strong technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset to solve complex engineering challenges and accelerate technology readiness.

This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and optimization of advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes, including material selection, process parameter optimization, metrology strategies, equipment qualification, and system integration.
  • Design and conduct experiments, feasibility studies, simulations, and characterization activities to evaluate process technologies, equipment capabilities, and material interactions.
  • Drive technology development and process integration solutions that support both current high-volume manufacturing and future technology roadmap requirements.
  • Define, develop, and validate integrated Module Target Specifications (MTS) to meet product performance, manufacturability, and reliability requirements.
  • Develop and maintain integrated Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), Control Plans, and change management processes to ensure manufacturing stability and quality excellence.
  • Perform pathfinding activities for new process technologies, equipment, and hardware solutions that enable innovative device architectures and future product generations.
  • Investigate manufacturing excursions, yield detractors, and process quality issues using data-driven and model-based problem-solving methodologies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and driving sustainable process improvements that enhance line yield, electrical yield, and overall product performance.
  • Champion the use of defect metrology, process control systems, and statistical analysis tools to continuously improve process capability and manufacturing output.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement modifications to manufacturing equipment and operating procedures to improve efficiency, throughput, cost, and process performance.
  • Support new product introductions by coordinating process readiness, documentation, tooling, equipment qualification, and manufacturing execution requirements.
  • Serve as the primary interface between fabrication operations and internal or external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and execution across multiple organizations and geographic locations.
  • Track product progress through technology development, process setup, engineering builds, qualification, and production ramp to ensure milestone achievement and schedule adherence.
  • Coordinate closely with process modules, materials development teams, silicon integration organizations, fabrication facilities, package assembly teams, suppliers, and external partners to address technical challenges, logistics, and supply chain requirements.
  • Manage ATV build planning, forecasting, and execution to support development and manufacturing objectives.
  • Partner with equipment and materials suppliers to develop, qualify, and implement enabling technologies that support current and future process requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging process technologies, advanced materials, and manufacturing innovations, while helping shape Intel's future technology roadmap through collaboration with the broader supplier and technology ecosystem.
