The MarinHealth Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Remote Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our mental health team. • Conduct thorough assessments and crisis intervention strategies for clients in distress, which includes immediate de-escalation tactics and determination of the need for external crisis intervention services.
• Provide continuous support and follow-up assessments after crisis situations, coordinating with external mental health agencies as necessary to ensure comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain meticulous clinical and administrative records, adhering to ethical guidelines and contractual obligations, with weekly submission of encounter forms to ensure accurate billing and reporting.
• Engage in weekly clinical meetings to discuss patient cases, share insights, and collaborate with both clinical and administrative staff to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Promote best practices in integrated healthcare, collaborating effectively with medical providers and other interdisciplinary team members to develop holistic treatment strategies for all patients.

The LPCC will work primarily with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those facing socioeconomic challenges, mental health crises, and emotional distress. Our patient population often includes individuals requiring immediate support and long-term therapeutic services to navigate complex mental health issues. Your work will focus on enhancing accessibility and responsiveness, ensuring that every patient feels heard and receives the quality care they deserve.

• A Master’s degree in counseling or a related field, qualifying you for LPCC licensure.
• Current and active licensure in California as a Professional Clinical Counselor.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in clinical counseling, preferably within community health settings.
• Proficient understanding of mental health issues impacting disadvantaged populations, with strategies for culturally competent care.
• Solid knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating mental health disorders, including but not limited to, depression and anxiety.
• Strong digital literacy, particularly with collaborative tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, video conferencing applications, and electronic health record systems.

• Experience in remote counseling or teletherapy, familiar with best practices and technological tools to support virtual client interactions.
• Background in integrated care settings, providing a comprehensive approach to mental health as part of overall patient health.
• Exposure to community outreach initiatives or advocacy for underserved populations, promoting equitable access to mental health resources.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
