West Valley Psychiatric Services is seeking a dedicated and motivated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our innovative telehealth team. • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the biopsychosocial needs of clients, identifying issues and creating tailored treatment plans that facilitate symptom resolution and improved functioning.
• Provide individual, family, couple, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches, adapting your techniques to meet the specific needs and preferences of each client or group.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to enhance treatment efficacy and coordinate care for all clients.
• Engage actively as a primary therapist in group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment where clients can learn from each other.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions and progress in compliance with program and regulatory requirements, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software for record-keeping.
• Participate in program planning and policy discussions to improve existing therapeutic programs based on outcome data and client feedback.
• Uphold ethical standards and agency policies to ensure that the highest level of care is provided to all clients.

As an LPC at West Valley Psychiatric Services, you will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals facing a wide range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to more complex conditions stemming from trauma and relationship challenges. Your ability to connect and build rapport with clients from various backgrounds will be vital in facilitating effective therapy.

• A minimum of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado.
• At least two years of clinical experience in counseling, preferably within primary care or medical settings.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to professional counseling practice.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a wide range of clients.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in EMR software and related digital tools for efficient record management and communication.

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.

West Valley Psychiatric Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
