This New Graduate Mental Health Professional will hold a MN license (LGSW, LAMFT, or LPC) and will split their 40 hours a week, between Freeborn County Adult Detention Center, Albert Lee MN & Mower County Jail, Austin MN.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Under supervision, provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified by prescreening through booking process or nursing services.
- Under supervision, provide individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions.
- Assist custody and medical staff in the monitoring of behavioral health for referred detainees.
- Coordinate with custody and medical staff in the management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns.
- Monitor and assess therapeutic support of segregated and isolated detainees.
- Support and supplement the activities of county behavioral health services in the stabilization of at-risk detainees.
- Coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care and discharge planning/case management via sharing of pertinent patient information.
- Complete documentation as well as maintain records for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement (CQI) under supervision.
- Demonstrate commitment and dedication to providing behavioral health support and provide training to solve problems and make lives easier.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.) required.
- Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board preferred.
- CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained while in this role.
- Hands-on or online certifications are accepted.
- Must be able to practice independently.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
