Overview

We're seeking a Programmatic Manager to lead the planning, activation, optimization, and reporting of commerce-focused programmatic campaigns across retail media and demand-side platforms.

This role is ideal for a hands-on media professional with experience driving performance through Amazon DSP, retail media networks, and broader programmatic ecosystems. The Programmatic Manager will oversee campaign execution, develop strategic recommendations, manage vendor relationships, and mentor junior team members while delivering best-in-class commerce media solutions for clients.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of programmatic media buying, audience strategy, campaign optimization, and retail media activation, along with a passion for commerce-driven marketing.

Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our Atlanta, Chicago, or New York office and be comfortable working in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

Commerce Media & Programmatic Activation

  • Lead setup, execution, optimization, and reporting of programmatic campaigns across Amazon DSP, Walmart Connect, and other retail media and DSP platforms.
  • Develop audience strategies leveraging shopper, behavioral, contextual, and first-party audience data.
  • Monitor campaign performance and proactively implement optimizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness against client KPIs.
  • Execute testing strategies related to audience targeting, bidding methodologies, creative formats, inventory sources, and measurement approaches.
  • Maintain campaign pacing, budget delivery, and performance accuracy across multiple client engagements.

Strategic Planning & Client Support

  • Support the development of commerce media and programmatic activation strategies aligned with client business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated media recommendations and activation plans.
  • Translate campaign data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing client-facing reports, presentations, and performance recaps.
  • Stay current on platform innovations, retail media developments, and emerging commerce marketing opportunities.

Team & Partner Collaboration

  • Mentor and support Specialists and Senior Specialists by providing guidance on campaign setup, optimization, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate closely with internal commerce, analytics, planning, and client service teams.
  • Manage relationships with platform partners and vendors to identify performance opportunities and stay informed on product enhancements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational best practices across campaign execution and reporting workflows.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure campaign quality through rigorous QA and attention to detail.
  • Manage campaign timelines, trackers, budgets, and documentation.
  • Support accurate financial reconciliation and vendor savings tracking.
  • Maintain organized reporting structures and documentation standards across accounts.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, retail media, commerce media, or digital media activation.
  • Hands-on experience managing campaigns within Amazon DSP and The Trade Desk.
  • Experience working within retail media, commerce media, eCommerce, omnichannel marketing, or performance media environments.
  • Strong understanding of audience targeting, bidding strategies, campaign optimization, and media performance measurement.
  • Experience building reports and presenting campaign insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

 Compensation Range: USD $75,050.00 - USD $120,159.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
