Your Impact
The Sr. Industrial Engineer, Supply Chain will leverage proven engineering and project management skills to be effective at solving complex supply chain distribution problems. The Sr. Industrial Engineer is responsible for gathering and analyzing data and developing solutions that will facilitate continuous productivity, capacity, safety, and quality improvement within Lowe's Supply Chain and Distribution teams. It will be critical for this Senior Industrial Engineer to serve as a Leader for our organization: building trust within the Engineering Team, amongst cross functional project teams, and with project stakeholders
What You Will Do
Works with operations management teams to lead implementation of network changes in the operations to reach desired cost reduction and service improvements
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects.
Gathers and analyzes data and elements of existing DC network to develop solutions to operational issues and provide recommendations to improve operations.
Manages distribution center processes by applying industry technologies, equipment, and material handling solutions; partnering with key vendors to explore industry best practices; collaborating with site operations to gain project support and operational insight, and presenting project ideas and designs for leadership approval
Develop business case analyses and financial models to support requirements and designs of project solutions.
Executes engineering projects by implementing project scopes, plans and timelines; collecting data for project performance tracking to ensure projects are meeting financial goals; and engaging operations management to ensure operational needs are being met while minimizing operational impact.
Manage and lead the life cycle of multiple cross functional project tasks while effectively influencing and communicating with internal and external business partners.
Other tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
3 years Experience in retail distribution with an emphasis on a productivity and performance-based culture
Experience in time and motion studies, working with engineered labor standards development or implementation
Experience working with a warehouse management system; presenting complex data
Experience in project management; business case development and capital justification; change management
Experience in innovating new processes and adapting new technology in a supply chain setting
Preferred Skills/Education
Master's degree Industrial Engineering or related field
