Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Neuro ICU for a travel nursing job in Reno, Nevada.

Reno, Nevada | Nights | 36 Hours/Week

Join a high-acuity Neuro ICU at Renown Regional Medical Center, an 800-bed Level II Trauma Center serving a large regional catchment area.

Assignment Details
  • Specialty: Neuro ICU
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12s
  • Hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
  • Call: None
  • Unit: Roseview Neuro ICU
  • Unit Size: 18 beds
  • Facility: Level II Trauma Center
  • Location: Reno, NV
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience
  • Prior 13-week travel assignment required
  • Must have experience caring for:
    • Neuro trauma patients
    • Post-neurosurgical patients
Required Certifications
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • Nevada RN license required prior to start
Preferred Experience

Strong preference for nurses with experience caring for:

  • Post-alteplase patients
  • Post-thrombectomy patients
  • External ventricular drains (EVDs)
  • Post-neurosurgical patients
Unit Population

This high-acuity ICU cares for Neuro and Medical ICU patients, including:

  • Ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke
  • Neurologic tumors
  • Seizures
  • Neuro trauma
  • Post-neurosurgical patients
  • DKA
  • Sepsis
  • Respiratory failure and other critical medical conditions
Scheduling & Floating
  • Travelers may float within their competency level based on hospital needs
  • Weekends and holidays may be required
  • Travelers must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
  • May be required to pick up one additional shift during the scheduling period
  • Facility may cancel up to 48 hours per 13-week contract for low census
