Overview
Assist the Director of Food and Beverage in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and well-presented environment while delivering exceptional hospitality and personalized guest service within the mClub Lounge experience.
This role is responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for Marriott Bonvoy guests by maintaining lounge presentation standards, replenishing food and beverage offerings, and proactively assisting guests throughout their visit.
At Marriott La Jolla, this position plays an important role in elevating the guest experience through attentiveness, professionalism, hospitality, and operational consistency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following are specific contributions that must be developed during the training program in order to successfully complete the program and be placed in a hotel with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Welcome and engage guests in a friendly, professional, and hospitable manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the mClub Lounge throughout all meal periods.
  • Promptly clear and reset tables, ensuring the lounge remains clean, stocked, and guest-ready at all times.
  • Replenish food, beverage, coffee, condiments, silverware, linens, and other service items as needed.
  • Monitor lounge presentation and proactively address cleanliness or stocking concerns before they impact the guest experience.
  • Assist guests with questions regarding hotel amenities, lounge offerings, meal periods, and hotel services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, storage areas, and dining areas.
  • Transport dirty tableware and service items to dishwashing areas for proper cleaning and sanitation.
  • Communicate operational or guest concerns promptly to leadership.
  • Support operational flow and guest satisfaction during high occupancy and peak service periods.
  • Maintain professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail throughout the shift.
  • Comply with attendance expectations and maintain schedule flexibility, including weekends, holidays, AM shifts, and PM shifts based on operational needs.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards consistently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise transport up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to move or push goods on carts or hand trucks weighing up to 150 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the lounge for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
