Evening Concierge Lounge Attendant Part-Time
Create memorable experiences for our guests as an Evening Concierge Lounge Attendant at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. Come be a part of history at this Nebraska Landmark! Part of Milwaukee based Marcus Hotels & Resorts, the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in downtown Lincoln has been serving Nebraska's capital city for nearly 90 years and has evolved as the benchmark for hospitality.
What will you be doing?
  • Monitor club lounge for seating availability, service, safety, cleanliness and well-being of guests.

  • Act as an ambassador of the Hotel by providing special assistance and information about local area attractions to customers and patrons, offering a wide selection of alternatives for guest satisfaction.

  • Use a clear, understandable speaking voice, exercise judgment, respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hours of outlet operation, directions to local attractions, or meeting rooms, car rentals and airline shuttle service according to individual needs.

  • Gather, summarize, and provide information to guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities.

  • Facilitate all transactions to ensure a positive guest experience; including greeting/welcoming all guests. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, proper storing and labeling of all snacks, fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.

  • Maintain glassware inventory, and ensure cleanliness which may include the shining of glassware. Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.

  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.

What you will bring to the role?
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays, Husker Game Days and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Lancaster County Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Training Certification as well as any additional training / certification requirements per Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Marriott and Lancaster County.

  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.

  • Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work as well as show professionalism in all facets of the workplace.

  • Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times. Excellent conversation and etiquette skills, interpersonal, listening and communication skills to include the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
