Job description

Overview
To manage the inventory and distribution of retail merchandise to Loon Mountain Ski Shops/Retail Shops with a focus on merchandising, receiving accuracy, excellent customer service, and safety.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for receiving products from manufacturers and reconciling the purchase order.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of retail locations and report to Boyne's inventory controller.
  • Receive products, enter into RTP/Deposco, and properly label.
  • Run weekly reports on inventory and report to Boyne's inventory controller.
  • Transfer merchandise to proper locations.
  • Run negative on hand reports regularly and keep overall shrinkage under 1.5%.
  • Responsible for tracking warranty items and processing special orders.
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure orders are shipped fully and accurately.
  • Prepare and ship on line orders and special orders.
  • Responsible for Early/Late season setup/tear down & Merchandising of retail locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY
  1. Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Loon Mountain Resort guests at all times.
  2. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the manager without delay.
  3. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to the manager.
  4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  5. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
  6. Drive in accordance with the law and Loon Mountain Resort policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.
COMPUTER EFFICIENCY
Must be proficient in the following programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office365. Preferable knowledge of Point of Sale systems similar to or including RTP, InfoGenesis.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing these functions, the employee is regularly asked to stand, sit, talk, walk, lift, and use hands or fingers, reach. The employee must be able to lift or move approximately 60 lbs on a daily basis. This includes moving retail product/displays to and from retail / satellite locations across the resort via vehicle.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College degree preferred plus minimum of 3-5 years' experience in retail/inventory control. Previous Ski/Snowboard Shop and knowledge of hard/soft goods preferred. Must be a detail oriented individual.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to apply read, write, and communicate effectively within a professional manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills are required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and apply a common sense of understanding.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Loon license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
