Job description

Internal Medicine Longevity Leader

Austin Regional Clinic, one of Central Texas's most trusted multispecialty medical groups and rated a Top Workplace nationally, is seeking an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician Leader to co-design, build, and lead and actively practice within our new Longevity and Health Span Optimization Program — a service designed to provide individualized, comprehensive, evidence-informed and cutting edge preventive and function health care for a broad range of adults.

This Family Medicine or Internal Medicine role is the perfect blend of maintaining an active longitudinal medical practice within this program while working with the leadership on building clinical excellence, creating an evidence-informed, cutting edge, personalized, and integrative approach to preventive care, metabolic health, and healthy life span.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Co-design, build, and lead the Longevity and Health Span Optimization Program.
  • Maintain an active longitudinal medical practice within this program.
  • Work with leadership on building clinical excellence.
  • Create an evidence-informed, cutting edge, personalized, and integrative approach to preventive care, metabolic health, and healthy life span.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Sport Medicine, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR).
  • Experience or certification in Functional, Integrative, Lifestyle, or Preventive Medicine (preferred).
  • Experience in clinical leadership, specifically combining clinical excellence with innovative program development.
  • Demonstrates the patience and unwavering thoroughness necessary to lead and maintain integrity within a rigorous regulatory framework.
  • Possesses a "command presence" and a recognized background in sport or medical education that commands respect from peers and the community.
  • Design a high-touch, relationship-based model of care with longer visits, proactive follow-up, and personalized care plans.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between specialties within the multispecialty group and the community at large.
  • Create a discreet, polished, and effortless experience for patients at every touchpoint.
  • Promote shared decision-making and long-term patient engagement.
