Job description

The Opportunity

Agentic UX is being defined in real time, and we're looking for a designer who wants to help define it.

We're hiring a Staff Product Designer to join Customer Experience Orchestration (CXO) AI Foundation, the team building the agentic and hybrid UI experiences that power Adobe's enterprise customer ecosystem. Our portfolio spans the full stack: the design-time tools practitioners use to compose and tune the system, and the run-time surfaces where end customers experience it.

If you bring deep design craft, sharp critical thinking, and the judgment to match the right tool to the right problem, and you want to apply all of that to a space that's still being invented, this role was written with you in mind.
How we work

We hold three values that shape how we design, how we critique, and how we decide when something is done.

  • Design with purpose. We deliver a clear POV that is refined through divergent exploration and convergent debate.

  • Design with restraint. We sharpen our delivery by practicing rigor in what we leave out.

  • Design with craft and taste. We focus on quality through the act of making, differentiated by exposure and experience.

What you'll do
  • Lead and multiply: Guide a squad of designers working across complex, cross-functional product spaces. Create the conditions through critique, pairing, and shared exploration where people develop their point of view and do their best work.

  • Design across multi-surface AI experiences: Contribute to ongoing initiatives spanning conversational, agentic, and hybrid experiences both the administrator who configures and the practitioner who works and hold the thread between both layers.

  • Communicate through making: Use the full range of design tools-from whiteboard diagrams and flows to high-fidelity Figma explorations and AI-assisted prototypes-to make complex ideas legible to partners and collaborators. The right tool requires judgment and understanding the question being asked.

  • Raise the craft bar: Bring strong interaction and visual design judgment. Work fluently within Spectrum, Adobe's design system, knowing when to follow it accurately and when to push at its edges thoughtfully, with accessibility and composability always in view. Balance long-horizon north-star thinking with close attention to quality in the build phase. Notice the details that others don't.

  • Partner deeply across functions: Cut through confusion with Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Marketing partners. The best designers at this level make the path forward clear for everyone in the room. That requires multi-modal communication: knowing when to show a prototype, when to draw a diagram, and when to just talk it through.

  • Stay close to the field: Agentic UX is evolving across Adobe and across the industry. Track what's working, bring back patterns worth borrowing, and help the team learn from what isn't.

What you'll need to succeed
  • 8+ years of product design experience shipping high-quality work within a design system at companies known for design excellence

  • Significant enterprise software design experience is strongly preferred - this is a meaningfully different skills from consumer or single-product design, and it shows up immediately in how you think about scale, composability, and the complexity of multi-stakeholder systems

  • Exceptional critical thinking and design judgment - the ability to read a situation, identify the right phase of design, and select the right tools and methods accordingly. Prototyping fluency (including AI-assisted prototyping) is a valued skill in this role, but it's one tool in a large toolkit, not the primary measure of design ability

  • Strong UX architecture instincts - a mental model for scalability, object mapping, and product composability. Our team does horizontal work across products, and designers without a foundation in architecture can quickly become a bottleneck

  • Multi-modal communication skills - the ability to communicate design decisions clearly and credibly to engineers, PMs, researchers, and business leaders, using whatever format serves the moment: prototype, diagram, document, or conversation

  • A demonstrated point of view - you can explain why you made the choices you made, what you considered and cut, and what you'd do differently next time

  • You are a visionary. You can hold the long view, seeing where the space is going, not just where it is, and use that perspective to guide your team toward work that matters

Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:

  • Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.

  • Familiarity with WCAG standards and testing for accessibility compliance.

  • Certifications such as CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from IAAP are a plus.
