What is a Long Term Care Insurance Assessment?

A Long Term Care Insurance Assessment is an evaluation process used by insurance companies to determine if an individual qualifies for long term care benefits under their policy. During the assessment, a qualified professional reviews the person's ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating. The assessment may also consider cognitive impairment and medical history. The results help the insurer decide on eligibility and the level of care needed.
