The Class A Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting bakery products between Franz bakery facilities and distribution locations while operating single and or double combinations in compliance with DOT regulations and company standards. This role includes loading and unloading bakery products, returning transport equipment, and ensuring timely deliveries throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate single and double trailer combinations on city, interstate, and regional routes
  • Transport bakery products to depots and distribution centers
  • Load and unload trailers at assigned destinations
  • Return empty transport racks and equipment to the bakery plant
  • Complete assigned routes safely, efficiently, and on schedule
  • Follow all DOT requirements, company policies, and Franz Core Values
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

Shift and Hours:
We offer shift opportunities around the clock to fit the needs of our operation. New team members should have open availability. As a union-represented position, employees have the opportunity to bid on preferred schedules and shifts, creating a pathway to greater schedule consistency and flexibility over time.
Qualifications:
  • Current Class A CDL with an acceptable and verifiable driving record
  • Preferred, two years of commercial driving experience
  • Preferred, previous experience driving doubles
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to pass a DOT-regulated drug screen
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and any assigned shift
  • Must join the union within 30 days of hire

  • Ability to load and unload bakery products and transport equipment throughout the workday
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles for both local and long-distance routes
  • Ability to meet all DOT physical qualification requirements and maintain a CDL driving standard
