Join tk accelis Materials Plus as a Manufacturing Engineer! This is an exciting opportunity to develop, evaluate, and improve industrial manufacturing methods. You'll leverage your expertise in product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and quality control standards to drive efficiency and innovation.
What You'll Do
  • Lead process improvement, problem resolution, and employee training initiatives.
  • Improve manufacturing methods for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present plans for improvements and coordinate deployment, including training.
  • Assist the Plant Manager in enhancing production control systems, SOPs, safety, and quality standards.
  • Research, design, and develop manufacturing processes including production flow and assembly methods.
  • Maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, set goals, train teams, and evaluate results.
  • Design, develop, and test tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams and participate in cost reviews and standards development.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required.
  • Strong technical capacity, problem-solving skills, and leadership ability.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • CNC/Waterjet background, Lean manufacturing experience, project management experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to fumes, moving parts, and vibration.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and meet vision requirements for precision work.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in safe work environments, union settings, and compliance with state/federal regulations.
  • Familiarity with capital improvement projects.
  • CAD proficiency preferred.

Work Environment & Travel
  • Frequent exposure to mechanical parts and loud noise levels.
  • Travel is primarily local, with occasional overnight trips.
