Description
Scotlynn seeks to fill a Logistics Coordinator located at our corporate office in Tampa, FL. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to Logistics Account Managers for the daily operations of their accounts. This includes synchronizing and expediting route movement for shipping and receiving of freight, arranging pickup and delivery appointments, and creating and inspecting bills of lading (BOLS) to determine proper invoicing.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Accepting customer loads upon approval of the Logistics Account Manager, building loads, booking loads, organizing loads and tracking loads
  • Notifying customers of freight arrivals, pickups, movement, and deliveries
  • Maintaining lines of communication with carriers, customers, shipping, and receiving facilities
  • Data entry into fleet management system and online customer/vendor platforms
  • Retaining records of purchase orders and various administrative or clerical support tasks
  • Contacting customers, carriers, or distribution facilities to resolve problems or make adjustments as needed
  • Continuously communicating with the Logistics Account Manager and trainee(s) to ensure proper maintenance of accounts
  • Negotiating contracts for individual freight shipments

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Business Administration or other related fields of logistics strongly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Strongly preferred
  • Ability to think proactively and plan ahead
  • Knowledge of multiple transportation and logistics disciplines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and problem-solve. 1+ years of load planning, data coordinating, or transportation and customer service experience is strongly preferred
