Job description

ODW Logistics is a people-focused and customer-driven third-party logistics (3PL) provider committed to delivering seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions. Our extensive range of services includes supply chain design and innovation, warehousing, efficient distribution and fulfillment, freight brokerage, transportation management, and specialized e-commerce fulfillment solutions.

ODW Salary Pay Level: 14

Hours 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Supervisor is expected to coordinate and oversee the daily activities of the warehouse to ensure the efficient flow of goods and meet organizational needs. This position is responsible for overseeing employees in multiple warehousing departments to ensure the operation is ran in a company-relevant and cost-efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee multiple employees in a multi-faceted environment to complete inbound, stocking, picking, packing, inventory, shipping and return processing activities
  • Regulate daily workload and assign productivity goals based on customer’s demands
  • Train, coach, engage and develop employees on efficient work methods aimed at improving the accuracy, efficiency, profitability, safety and security of the operation
  • Interview, hire and/or promote, onboard and train employees to sustain a successful onboarding experience
  • Advocate and support corporate training programs for direct reports to prepare team members for career path progression opportunities
  • Manage hourly employee scheduling through workforce management software (UKG)
  • Monitor hourly employee performance, year-end reviews, scheduling and one-on-one developmental meetings
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts in your warehouse by leading team projects to improve operational efficiency and customer profits in conjunction with lean management principles
  • Maintain knowledge of contractual requirements regarding execution of services and Key Performance Metrics detailing the measurement of our performance
  • All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • 1+ year(s) of supervisor experience or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred
  • This DC is GMP compliant for food safety. No visible piercings are allowed.
  • Must wear hair and beard nets, smock, helmet and steel toe shoes.

  • Focus (with or without corrective lenses) to see close and distant, along with depth perception capabilities
  • Use material handling equipment that must be operated according to specific operation procedures
  • Spend 50 – 75% of time on warehouse floor in fast-paced environment
