Job description

We are seeking a Logistics Manager to the lead the company's global logistics strategy that will enable world class customer order delivery times. This person will be responsible for worldwide logistics and inventory in North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Logistics Professional: You will collaborate with trading partners and develop innovative solutions to optimize logistics and warehousing strategy and operations. In this role, you will negotiate with suppliers and establish contracts across multiple logistics modes to meet price, quality and service level targets. You will manage trade broker activities and provide guidance to the company on various tax and trade implications.
Organized: You will determine the appropriate regional warehouse strategies and potentially establish in-house warehousing capabilities. You will have the freedom to design optimal warehouse operations and personnel; ensuring inventory accuracy, quick turn shipments, and clear visibility to key stakeholders. In addition, you will manage the logistics team's activities, establish task priorities, schedule and track work assignments, provide guidance, and ensure the availability of resources.
Customer Focused: Your team will delight customers with the level of service and visibility provided with their orders. Additionally, as the leader of this function you will support the logistics needs of all the different functions across the company - ensuring that materials required for Engineering builds are received to support tight product schedules and that sales teams are receiving sample kits to ensure a successful launch. You will synchronize across all functional groups to gather requirements and execute flawlessly to expectations.
Problem Solver: You will establish repeatable and scalable practices to support our company's rapid growth. However, we are not focused on constricting rules and wasteful processes so you will bring demonstrated experience to imaginatively address assignments of all complexity levels.
You will possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and demonstrate self-motivation to own the logistics strategy and its tasks, confidently challenge traditional conventions and recommend new effective approaches. You will help establish new systems to interface with customer ordering systems to enable real-time quoting for sales and finance decision making.
We are an ever-changing, non-traditional organization and we encourage disruptive and creative approaches to solving problems. We are looking for a leader that will bring the best out of each person whether on the warehouse floor or in the executive wing. This person will also empower her/his team and create an environment that allows people to exercise and maximize their potential.
This opportunity is for you if:
  • You like to test new ideas/processes vs. repeating what has worked for you in the past.
  • You are known for questioning the status quo.
  • Your team is known for going the extra mile.
  • You pick up trash lying on the ground.

Credentials:
  • 5-10 years of global logistics experience with proficiency in supply chain concepts, including how logistics and inventory impacts other functions of the business
  • Direct experience leading warehouse activities and personnel.
  • Microsoft Excel power user
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar tools preferred
  • Dedication to detail and accuracy
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
