About the Role

Our client, a reputable General Contractor, is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the construction of an 8-storey residential project (110 doors). This is a concrete mid-rise development, and the Superintendent will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all day-to-day site operations and serve as the primary on-site representative for the General Contractor.

  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise trades, subcontractors, and site staff.

  • Develop and maintain the project schedule; ensure milestones and deadlines are met.

  • Oversee site safety program, enforce compliance, and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.

  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is completed per plans and standards.

  • Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics, and equipment needs.

  • Identify and resolve site issues proactively to avoid delays.

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to track progress, manage costs, and communicate project updates.

  • Maintain daily site reports, documentation, and as-built records.

  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to building codes and regulations.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent (or Assistant Superintendent stepping up) with a General Contractor.

  • Proven experience with concrete residential or mid-rise projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and trade coordination.
