Job description

Full-time evening position, Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. (with evening shift allowance) 

We're looking for a Material & Logistics Planner to plan, release and track the delivery of materials and parts needed for production; all to meet production schedules and keep inventories to a minimum using just-in-time principles.   You'll be at the heart of the action, working closely with suppliers and internal customers such as material handling, transportation, procurement, engineering and quality assurance teams.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Plan and follow up on parts delivery
  • Interact with suppliers and carriers to find creative solutions and avoid production shutdowns
  • Analyze the best strategies to meet just-in-time objectives
  • Manage commercial relationships with suppliers and negotiate with the best interests of BRP in mind
  • Identify and coordinate areas of improvement in line with team objectives
  • Establish recovery plans with suppliers and meet with them if necessary

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, operations management or any other related field, or DEC (college diploma) in administration or any other related field and 18 to 36 months of experience
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English to communicate with internal stakeholders located outside Quebec or unilingual Anglophone on a daily basis
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
  • Autonomy and leadership
  • Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment
  • Team player with solid priority management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills and ability to negotiate.
