Description

The individual in the Operations, Carrier Sales Representative role is a trusted, central point of contact for our carriers and supports our day-to-day freight requirements. Work directly with our customer team to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of freight for our customers while building and maintaining relationships with carriers.

Responsibilities:

Cold calling carriers to pick up and deliver our customer's loads

Negotiate rates with carriers

Build trusted relationships with carriers, manage carrier data

Track in-transit loads, handle any issues for the duration of the load progress

Solicit contract/dedicated freight to carriers

Maintain and update accurate information in company's operating systems, tracking shipments to completion

Coordinating daily carrier activities with customers

Adhere to established operating procedures while looking for opportunities to measure and improve

Hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm

In office required

Requirements

Experience/Requirements:

Experience in logistic sales

Preferred experience in McLeod software

Strong communication and organizational skills

Teamwork is a must

Self-starter, go getter, money motivated

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Position is located in Charleston, SC
