Overview (Scope of Role)

The Logistics Service Representative role ensures transportation activities are executed in alignment with customer requirements, Incoterm obligations, market conditions, and company objectives related to service, cost, cash flow, and sustainability. It actively monitors key logistics performance metrics, identifies opportunities to improve network efficiency and customer service, and fosters strategic partnerships with carriers and logistics providers through structured performance management and service level reviews.
 
This will be a hybrid role in Midland, MI

  • Manage Transportation Planning & Subcontracting/Freight booking & Freight Execution Process within agreed timelines.
  • Inco Term, add language for understanding market
  • Monitor Freight Settlement process, including Invoice Matching/Dispute Management of freight invoices
  • Keep internal parties informed of delays and act as point of contact for escalation.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (ADD, OTL, OTP, & OTD, QN rates) and identify and lead  projects to improve efficiency (Service, Cash & Sustainability) and monitor cost to serve
  • Build strong relationship with Logistic Service Providers to ensure satisfactory & continues improved Service Level Agreements, including facilitation of regular Carrier Performance Management reviews.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/apprenticeship in the field of Supply Chain, Business Administration or Commercial
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience, preferable in customer service, supply chain or logistics.
  • SAP ECC OR S4 experience is required
  • Rail experience is highly preferred
  • Chemical manufacturing experience preferred
  • Process-oriented thinking ability
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail (esp. in transactional processes)
