Description Essential Job Functions
  • Drive compliance to QHSE policies, programs and initiatives to improve the quality of processes and services.
  • Oversees evaluation of current processes in the region to determine areas of improvement.
  • Acts as the regional subject matter expert and as a liaison for the Crane Worldwide Quality Management System as well as external standards (including, but not limited to, ISO & GDP standards).
  • Supports regional quality and safety improvement projects and oversees progress and results in the region.
  • Lead the business in quality management & be a reliable subject matter expert in ISO standards and certification processes.
  • Works with VP or Risk & Safety and QHSE Director to develop new and advanced tools, methods and systems to ensure quality and safety improvement throughout the region.
  • Define standard operating procedures and ensures adherence to documented procedures.
  • Acts as the regional subject matter expert and acts as a liaison for the Crane Safety Program as well as acting as the subject matter expert for local regulations.
  • Drives compliance to all Crane Safety policies and procedures.
  • Promotes and drives active Safety Committees within the region.
  • Collaborate with VP or Risk & Safety and QHSE Director to establish local safety training, equipment maintenance and forklift training.
  • Supports regional operations to ensure training documentation for all QHSE programs is completed and properly maintained.
  • Supports development of site emergency response plans in the region.
  • Supports and drives development of Business Continuity Plans within the region.
  • Ensure compliance to Crane policies and procedures for hazardous materials and dangerous goods within the region.
Other Skills & Abilities
  • Effective use of quality tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, root cause analysis, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent time management abilities are necessary.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ability to exercise good judgment, and ability to achieve results through others is required.
  • Must possess knowledge and expertise in project/program management, portfolio management methodologies and tools.
  • Strategy and planning: must possess an ability to think ahead and plan over a 12-24 month time span as well as strong client orientation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in safety management, quality management or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics, warehousing and transportation.
  • Minimum 5 years' supervisory or managerial experience required.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. Certifications and Licenses
  • Total Quality Management or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
  • Job will require punctual attendance and regular presence on-site at the assigned work location.
