Job Overview

We are hiring a Logistics Specialist I for a computer-focused logistics and inventory position in Sparks, NV.

This is NOT a traditional warehouse job. Approximately 80% of the role is computer-based. You will work with multiple computer screens, inventory dashboards, Excel, ticketing systems, and warehouse management systems to track materials and communicate with internal teams.

The remaining 20% of the role involves physical warehouse activities, primarily sorting deliveries and stowing materials. This facility does not handle large-volume shipments; typically, shipments are around one pallet per day.

What You'll Do

  • Use multiple computer screens and dashboards throughout the day to track inventory and logistics activity.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Use Microsoft Excel as a primary tool for daily work.
  • Work with a ticketing dashboard to receive and manage work assignments throughout the day.
  • Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and materials.
  • Scan parts and update inventory information in computer systems.
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding inventory, deliveries, and logistics activities.
  • Ensure inventory supply-chain information is accurate and ready for processing.
  • Assist with scheduling deliveries and pickups.
  • Sort incoming deliveries and stow materials.
  • Prepare, label, and arrange materials for shipment.
  • Occasionally assist with loading and unloading shipments.
  • Operate powered equipment such as a forklift or cherry picker when needed.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong basic computer skills — this is essential.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable working with multiple screens, dashboards, and computer applications simultaneously.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to learn and navigate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience tracking inventory, scanning parts, or using inventory management software is highly preferred.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Schedule & Environment

  • Facility operates 7 days a week.
  • Schedules may include Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday.
  • Possible schedules include approximately 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
  • Alternative 4x10 schedules may also be available.
  • Holiday work is required.
  • Position requires prolonged standing, sitting, and walking.
  • May occasionally work in temperatures above 90°F and around moderate to loud noise.
