Logistics Manager Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee daily shipping operations, warehouse transfers, and logistics personnel at a manufacturing facility

This role is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, managing loading operations, supervising warehouse transfer activities, and ensuring all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong logistics, transportation, and warehouse management experience who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with plant operations, customer service, quality, and transportation teams to ensure products are shipped accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

This is a Direct Hire role. What you will be doing as a Logistics Manager... Shipping & Logistics Operations Partner with plant leadership and customer service to develop and execute the daily shipping schedule

Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers picking up outbound shipments. Coordinate truck loading activities and assign work to loading personnel. Verify shipping documentation, bills of lading, certificates of analysis, and other required paperwork.

Ensure outbound loads are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with customer requirements. Monitor inventory levels and production status throughout the day, adjusting shipping priorities as needed. Confirm shipment completion and reconcile shipping records within the ERP system.

Warehouse Transfers Develop and coordinate weekly warehouse transfer schedules. Supervise transfer drivers and ensure timely movement of inventory between facilities. Coordinate with transportation resources to maintain adequate coverage and meet shipping commitments.

Administrative & Compliance Maintain accurate production, shipping, and quality records. Enter production and quality data into company systems. Archive shipping, production, and quality documentation.

Reconcile shipping transactions and inventory records. Identify and communicate quality concerns to appropriate operational leadership. Leadership Supervise a team of truck loaders and transfer drivers.

Provide daily direction, scheduling, and support to logistics personnel. Promote safe work practices, efficiency, and continuous process improvement. Serve as backup for the Plant Manager during vacations or absences, including occasional weekend coverage.

Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Logistics Manager... 5+ years of logistics, warehouse, transportation, or shipping management experience. Previous experience leading teams with multiple direct reports

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP systems and shipping software (Microsoft Dynamics, TMW, or similar platforms preferred).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Strong attention to detail with exceptional recordkeeping and documentation skills. Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.

Ability to quickly learn new software and business processes. Preferred Experience Manufacturing or industrial distribution experience. Knowledge of shipping documentation, bills of lading, inventory reconciliation, and transportation logistics.
