Job description

As a Logistics Specialist III, you will lead and manage complex logistics projects, ensuring efficient and compliant logistics operations. You will be responsible for strategic planning, process improvement, and managing high-value logistics activities to support organizational objectives.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex logistics projects, including preparation, documentation, and routing of materials.
  • Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to optimize efficiency and compliance.
  • Analyze and maintain records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
  • Oversee and improve the allocation and organization of storage facilities for logistics materials.
  • Ensure strict compliance with import/export requirements.
  • Coordinate with senior internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Mentor and provide leadership to Logistics Specialist I and II.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of state, federal, and global regulations related to logistics.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
  • Progressive experience with inventory databases.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Expert proficiency in logistics software and tools.
  • Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
  • HazMat Training/Certification.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
  • Understanding of shelf life.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work on your feet for a majority of the work shift.
  • Ability to work in a loud environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $29.03 - $39.92. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
