Job description


NOV is seeking a Regional Logistics Manager to lead logistics execution across the Americas as part of our Global Logistics Center (GLC). This role is responsible for overseeing a high-performing Regional Logistics Center (RLC), managing both day-to-day transportation operations and complex, project-based logistics.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate brings deep operational experience, strong team leadership, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while partnering across regions and functions.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead regional logistics operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and on-time delivery across all transportation modes
• Manage a team of Transportation Planners within a TMS environment, driving execution performance, exception management, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee a Project Specialist team responsible for large, complex, and high-risk shipments, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution
• Serve as a working manager by directly supporting transportation execution activities, including shipment planning, issue resolution, and management of critical loads as needed
• Maintain consistent operational performance during peak periods, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cycles
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical shipments, service disruptions, and transportation-related issues
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team with strong accountability, collaboration, and execution focus
• Partner with internal stakeholders across supply chain, operations, procurement, and business units to support customer requirements and business objectives
• Manage relationships with NOV-designated carriers, freight forwarders, and customer-selected logistics providers to ensure service reliability and performance
• Collaborate with regional and global logistics leadership to implement transportation strategies and standardize operational best practices
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on transportation cost optimization, service enhancement, and operational efficiency
• Utilize transportation systems, reporting tools, and operational data insights to support decision-making and improve overall logistics performance
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Proven leadership experience both on-site and remote managing execution teams in a low volume, high mix environment
• Strong working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Experience in global logistics operations, including managing complex and project-based logistics involving oversized, international, and mission-critical shipments.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or energy sectors
